Harry Kane says he cannot afford to relax and will work as hard as possible to keep his place in the England side for Euro 2016.
Unlike some recent international tournaments, England boss Roy Hodgson has a host of attacking options at his disposal with Tottenham striker Kane and Leicester City's Jamie Vardy having scored 49 goals between them in the Premier League.
Hodgson can also call on Wayne Rooney, although the England captain has been playing in a more withdrawn midfield role recently, as well as Daniel Sturridge and possibly youngster Marcus Rashford.
Kane has no idea what Hodgson's pecking order looks like heading into England's final two friendlies before the tournament and that means it is not the time to take things easy.
England take on Australia at the Stadium of Light on Friday and then welcome Portugal to Wembley on June 2, a game that will come after Hodgson names his final 23-man squad.
"When you have got a pair of strikers who have scored 25 and 24 Premier League goals, it shows that we have top strikers," he said.
"We both scored again on Sunday and scoring is a good habit to have. We are up there, we are confident, we are both scoring goals and long may it continue.
"Obviously Wayne has been doing great in that deeper position, but we've all got to fight for places.
"There are a lot of good midfielders and a lot of good strikers so there are a lot of options in those positions so the manager will do what he wants to do."
Kane missed a penalty in England's 2-1 win over Turkey on Sunday, after earlier scoring the game's opening goal, but he says the miss has not affected his confidence at all.
And it would not stop him putting his hand up to take another spot kick if Rooney, who was unavailable for the Turkey match, is not on the field when England are awarded a penalty.
"Look I'm a striker and you are going to miss chances. It is just another chance," he said.
"If you want to learn and get better, it is moments like that you have to work on. But I will be there to step up for the next one.
"But obviously the skipper [Wayne Rooney], when he comes back, he normally takes them so we will see what happens in the next game."
