Ragnar Klavan is relishing a clash against Sergio Aguero when Manchester City host Liverpool, live on Nissan Super Sunday.
Jurgen Klopp's side travel to the Etihad Stadium for a crucial top-four battle, knowing victory will see them leapfrog their opponents and potentially lift them to second in the table should Tottenham fail to beat Southampton.
Estonia centre-back Klavan has started Liverpool's last two games against Arsenal and Burnley and insists he will respect Aguero, who he considers one of the best goalscorers in world football.
He said: "You have to play a little bit differently against Aguero, you can't really storm into duels.
"He is a world-class striker, but a lot of teams in the Premier League have world-class strikers and it's nice to play against them.
"There is always a lot of respect for the strikers I play against, but fear is not the word. Aguero is one of the best for sure. He is great."
Klavan is expecting City to close down high up the field at the Etihad, but believes such a tactic will play into Liverpool's hands.
"It is easier for me if the pressure up front is really good, and the strikers can't get good balls because our strikers are putting their central defenders under pressure," he added.
"There are two ways it could go. Maybe they are wounded or maybe they are even more eager playing at home to show they want to win the game.
"Pep Guardiola's teams always want to play really nice, attractive football. It was always very clear to see when he was manager of Bayern Munich, but maybe in England it is a little bit different. I is not so easy here."
