As the season enters its final months, many teams are looking to beat the rush in the summer transfer market.

We asked our friends at Football Whispers to look at Europe's top media outlets on Friday morning to see what's making the headlines.

Italy

Antonio Conte has told Roman Abramovich the three players he wants this summer - Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Ryan Bertrand.

Udinese goalkeeper Alex Meret is a wanted man. He is a Chelsea transfer target and has also attracted interest from Monaco, RB Leipzig and Juventus.

But the two clubs leading the chase for the 20-year-old, who is currently on loan at Serie B side SPAL, are Manchester United and Bayern Munich. (Tuttosport)

Dries Mertens has been in contact with Manchester United about a possible move.

France

Spain

While Marco Verratti has publicly denied wanting to leave Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, privately his agent, Donato di Campli, has continued to court interest.

If Verratti does leave PSG, his preferred choice would be Barcelona over Chelsea. (Sport)

Juan Carlos Unzue expects to be offered the job as Barcelona manager this summer. (Sport)

Barcelona have whittled the list of potential candidates to replace the outgoing Luis Enrique down to two - Unzue and Athletic Bilbao boss Ernesto Valverde.

Portugal

Bayern Munich have already made an inquiry about Benfica defender Nelson Semedo but the German giants will face competition from Manchester United, Juventus and Inter Milan.

The 23-year-old right-back will not come cheap but it's expected he will be available for less than his €80m buyout clause. (Record)

Germany

Bernd Leno, thought to be a Real Madrid, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur transfer target, isn't thinking about his future right now.

According to his agent, Uli Ferber, the 25-year-old Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper's future will be discussed after Easter. (Bild)
