Several reports in Thursday's newspapers suggest Arsenal are confident of landing a major transfer target.
The Daily Mail, The Mirror and The Sun all claim that Arsene Wenger is closing on a deal for Monaco winger Thomas Lemar.
The Mail reports that Monaco have rejected bids of £30m and £40m, but Arsenal are now planning an offer in excess of £45m for the 21-year-old.
Meanwhile, The Mirror suggests Lemar will be given £100,000-a-week wages, as Wenger's summer spending looks to break the £100m barrier.
On Wednesday, Olivier Giroud told Sky Sports News HQ he does not know if he will still be an Arsenal player at the start of the season.
"I honestly don't know," the striker said when asked about his future following the signing of Alexandre Lacazette.
And according to the Daily Mirror, Borussia Dortmund are now ready to make a move for the Frenchman, who has also been linked with Everton, West Ham. Marseille and AC Milan.
However, the tabloid claims they will only try to sign him if Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang completes a proposed move to Chelsea.
The Mirror also reports Barcelona have admitted defeat in pursuit of Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin and identified Chelsea's Cesar Azpilicueta as an alternative.
And if Arsenal want to sign Leicester's Riyad Mahrez this summer, they now have competition from Italy.
Serie A club Roma want to sign the midfielder and have contacted the player's agent, according to Sky in Italy.
