The summer transfer window may have closed for the majority of clubs across Europe but they are already making moves ahead of January. Our friends at Football Whispers have scoured media across Europe for the latest news and transfer rumours.

Spain

Real Madrid are constantly monitoring the progress made by Liverpool forward Sadio Mane. (Diario Madridista)

Real Madrid stars have been putting pen to paper to extend their time with the La Liga champions. Dani Carvajal, Karim Benzema, Marcelo and Isco having all renewed over recent weeks and now captain Sergio Ramos is set to join quartet. (Marca)

Marcelo is set to miss up to a month of action after tearing his hamstring. It leaves Zinedine Zidane without his two senior left-backs, with Theo Hernandez already out with a dislocated shoulder. The Frenchman will have to get creative as he tries to patch up his defence. (AS)

Diego Costa is in Spain as he prepares to finalise his return to Atletico Madrid. Chelsea have agreed to sell last season's top scorer for a fee of €65m (£57.6m). (AS)

Bayern Munich surrendered a 2-0 lead against Wolfsburg at the Allianz Arena with stand-in goalkeeper Sven Ulreich gifting the away side a way back into the game. Ulreich is deputising for the injured Manuel Neuer and punched in a fairly straightforward freekick at 2-0 to give Wolfsburg a lifeline. He's since publicly apologised for the error. It could be a long couple of months for the Bundesliga champions with Neuer ruled out until the new year. (SportBild)

Paris Saint-Germain are without Angel Di Maria, Javier Pastore and the world's most expensive player, Neymar, for their trip to Montpellier. The former Barcelona forward is ruled out with a foot injury but should return for their Champions League match during the week. (L'Equipe)

Lille sit in 17th place in Ligue 1 and haven't won since the opening weekend of the season after a 4-0 defeat to Monaco last night. Manager Marcelo Bielsa is not only worried about performances, he's also concerned about the development of players he signed during the summer: "I feel responsible for the situation.
