Huddersfield Town's 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday was one of their most important victories of the campaign so far, according to manager David Wagner.
Rajiv van La Parra's long-range strike a minute before half-time handed the home side all three points, and this despite having to play more than the final half an hour with just 10 men after Christopher Schindler's sending-off.
However, Huddersfield hung on to move up to 10th in the Premier League, with Wagner delighted how his players reacted to being reduced to 10 men just before the hour-mark.
"The players have shown today that they are capable of both - they played good football in ball position as long as they were even," said Wagner.
"After the suspension of Christopher Schindler, they have shown as well that they are able to defend and to show the right team spirit and fighting spirit what you have to show.
"I think they have done it brilliant, I am absolutely delighted with the effort the players have shown today. This for sure is one of the biggest wins for us as a team in this season.
"If you see the story of the game that we were able to have a clean sheet with the quality of Jonas Lossl and that we are able to get another three points at home."
Huddersfield were grateful, though, to goalkeeper Jonas Lossl for preserving the points after the Dane made two breathtaking saves in stoppage time.
"I think till this moment we were able to keep them away from our goal as good as possible and then when we really needed him he was there," said Wagner.
"He was outstanding with two world-class saves he has done and that we are very happy we have him in our team. And for sure he helped us today to get this result over the line."
The win was the perfect way for the Huddersfield boss to celebrate Sunday's two-year anniversary of his appointment at the John Smith's Stadium.
"Time is running, isn't it? Nobody expected when we started our journey that two years after we are in the Premier League, 15 points after 11 games," Wagner said.
"It sounds, even if I speak about it, not realistic, even if it is, if it makes sense."
