Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes will not be holding the club's news conference amid growing speculation about his future.
McInnes did not take first-team training on Wednesday after the club released a statement on Tuesday saying they had refused Rangers permission to speak to McInnes over the managerial vacancy at Ibrox.
Sky Sports News understands McInnes met Dons chairman Stewart Milne on Wednesday to discuss his future.
The media conference will be taken by the club's U20 manager Paul Sheerin and club captain Graeme Shinnie.
McInnes and his assistant Tony Docherty again missed training on Thursday.
The session was taken by Sheerin, coach Barry Robson and goalkeeper coach Gordon Marshall ahead of the game against Dundee on Friday.
Rangers beat Aberdeen twice in the space of five days, winning 3-0 at Ibrox before a 2-1 victory at Pittodrie, which is thought to be Graeme Murty's last game in temporary charge of the Glasgow club.
Murty has been in temporary charge at Rangers since Pedro Caixinha's departure with McInnes the bookmakers' favourite to take over the role on a permanent basis.
Aberdeen are third in the Scottish Premiership, level on points with Rangers and seven behind leaders Celtic.
