Shrewsbury Town have signed Doncaster Rovers winger John McGrath on loan.Shrewsbury Town manager Jimmy Quinn has signed winger John McGrath on a month's loan from League One side Doncaster Rovers.
The moves comes after Sam Aiston aggravated a knee injury in Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Oxford United that has caused the midfielder to have hamstring problems in the same leg.
With Aiston out for around a fortnight, Quinn has moved to a add cover by bringing in the 24-year-old Irishman for a four-week spell at Gay Meadow.
McGrath has been left down the pecking order at Belle Vue following last season's summer signing of Michael McIndoe from Yeovil Town.
"Sam will be missing for a while with a reoccurrence of the knee problem he's had - this is affecting his hamstring, so we can't really take the risk of playing Sam," Quinn told the club's official website.
"I've seen John play on a number of occasions and he's a talented lad, he's got good quality on the ball and is left-footed and will hopefully do a good job for us."
