Shrewsbury have extended the loan of Doncaster winger John McGrath.Shrewsbury Town have extended the loan of winger John McGrath from League One club Doncaster Rovers.
The left-sided midfielder has performed well for the Shropshire-based outfit since joining Jimmy Quinn's side for an initial four-week stint at the end of August.
The 24-year-old Irishman will remain at Gay Meadow for another four weeks, but Donny have asked The Shrews not to play McGrath in Tuesday's LDV Vans Trophy Southern Section first round tie with Carling Cup heroes Bournemouth.
"We've agreed with Doncaster to take John on another month's loan," Quinn told Shrewsbury's official website.
"He's done really well since he came in and has shown a lot of quality that has been added to the team."
One player that has been told he can leave Shrewsbury on loan is defender David Ridler after failing to figure in Quinn's first team plans this season.
"Dave has been very unlucky and he's done a great job for the club," Quinn added.
"We've got one too many centre halves and if Dave can go out on loan and do someone a job, then that can benefit us."
One player that is moving on from Shrewsbury is striker Jody Banim, who has joined Conference North club Droylsden on a permanent basis.
