Vitesse & Willem II go out, Roda & Sparta through

Vitesse Arnhem and Willem II both crashed out of the Dutch Cup to Eerste Divisie sides, although Roda JC and Sparta Rotterdam advanced. FC Eindhoven shocked Vitesse with a 4-2 home victory after going behind to Juan Lorca's 11th minute goal. Second-half strikes from Tim de Meersman (61), Fabio Caracciolo (73) and Tim Nelemans (79) turned the tie on its head. Yu Hai pulled one back for Vitesse with five minutes remaining but Caracciolo secured the win for Eindhoven. Haarlem needed penalties to beat Willem II after Jens Janse cancelled out Marvin Wijks' 47th minute strike with 10 minutes remaining. Sparta Rotterdam came back from two goals down, then twice lost the lead before eventually beating FC Volendam on penalties after an eight-goal thriller. After a goalless first-half, Rowin van Zaanen and Vit Valenta had Volendam ahead before the hour mark. But Charles Dissels began the comeback (63) and goals in the final 10 minutes from captain Nourdin Boukhari and Arne Slot saw Sparta go in front. Bernard Hofstede levelled in stoppage time to send the game into extra-time. Dissels fired Sparta ahead for a second time in the 100th minute only for Mathieu Boots to equalise six minutes later and send the game to penalties. Roda were 2-0 winners at Spakenburg thanks to goals from Anouar Hadouir (10) and Jeanvion Yulu-Matondo (85) Be Quick G 1 FC Omniworld 8
