Andreas Isaksson is hoping to secure a move away from Manchester City and would be excited to join PSV Eindhoven.
The Sweden international arrived at City two years ago but lost his place in the side to Joe Hart last season.
City appear ready to let him go and PSV Eindhoven have been linked with a £2million swoop.
Isaksson is aware of PSV's desire to bring him in and the 26-year-old admits he would relish the prospect of playing for a club that has once again qualified for the UEFA Champions League.
"I know that PSV are interested and Manchester City don't mind if I move," Isaksson told Sportbladet.
"They are ready to sell me. I hope it will be solved. It's not a bad club to join.
"They have won most of the titles in Holland since 2000 and they play regularly in the Champions League.
"I would like to join a bigger club who believe in me and who have ambitions. That is the most important thing.
"The training resumes for pre-season on 14th July. I have a contract here but I hope I don't have to return."
Mexican defender Francisco Rodriguez, meanwhile, is looking forward to linking up with his new team-mates in Eindhoven.
"I will be travelling on 10th July and I am not scared about this experience as I feel I am prepared for playing in such an important league," he said.
"What is waiting for me over there is very exciting."
