Dominic Green is set to leave Dagenham & Redbridge, with Huddersfield Town tipped to sign the teenage winger.
Since joining Dagenham last year, Green has scored one goal in 15 appearances for John Still's side.
He has attracted interest from several clubs and was left out of Saturday's game against Port Vale to hold talks with an unnamed team.
Reports have suggested he watched Huddersfield's weekend defeat by Milton Keynes Dons, with Dagenham confirming an offer has been accepted.
A club statement read: "After several enquiries and two verbal offers which were rejected, the club has received a firm written offer for Dominic.
"The size of the offer is one that the club feels is a realistic compensation, and in keeping with our policy, John Still informed Dominic of the interest."
Daggers boss Still admits he is expecting Green to leave the League Two club before the close of the transfer window.
Still said: "Dominic is one of those players who is exciting and can influence a game.
"A number of clubs have spoken to me about him, but only one has, in my opinion, been realistic, and if Dominic decides to leave, then I wish him every success."
