Wigan Athletic winger Antonio Valencia has spoken of his ambition to play in the UEFA Champions League.
Ecuador international Antonio Valencia's form at the JJB Stadium this season has reportedly attracted the interest of the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid.
Primera Division champions Real are said to be in the market for a wideman, and it is suggested attacker Javier Saviola could be used as part of a swap deal in a bid to tempt Wigan into a sale.
Latics boss Steve Bruce recently assured fans that no further players will leave the club this transfer window, but Valencia's comments have reignited rumours of a departure.
"The dream of every footballer is to play at the highest level, to play in the Champions League, the highest level in European football," he was quoted as saying by Spanish newspaper AS.
"When I'm sat at home and I see the Champions League on television, I say to myself: 'why am I not there?"'
Should Real fail to land Valencia, it is claimed they could turn their attentions to Trabzonspor forward Ibrahim Yattara.
