Valeri Bojinov looks set to miss Bulgaria's World Cup qualifier with Republic of Ireland through injury.
The Manchester City striker is thought to have picked up a hamstring injury in training.
Bojinov, who has only recently returned to action after a lengty lay-off, is believed to have left Bulgaria's training camp to receive treatment on the injury.
The news is a blow for Bulgaria as they are already without Manchester United star Dimitar Berbatov for Saturday's showdown with Republic of Ireland at Croke Park.
