Well-travelled striker Lloyd Owusu has signed a two-year contract with Australian A-League side Adelaide United.
Owusu ended the season on loan with Brighton from Cheltenham, with his Robins contract not renewed at the end of the campaign.
With the cash-strapped Whaddon Road outfit slipping into League Two, the 32-year-old Owusu was one of several players to be shown the door.
Brighton were keen to secure the former Brentford, Reading and Sheffield Wednesday man on a permanent basis, but he has instead elected to move Down Under.
Adelaide coach Aurelio Vidmar said: "The few training sessions that I saw of him, he's very strong in the air and with his ability to hold the ball up and score goals, I think he'll do a fine job in the A-League."
Owusu won two caps for Ghana and was due to feature in their 2006 World Cup squad only for a groin injury to wreck his hopes.
