Benfica defender Luisao is unaware of any interest from Fiorentina amidst reports the Italian club have failed in a bid for his services.
The centre-back has been linked with the Serie A outfit as they look for ways to spend the money they appear set to earn from the probable summer sale of Felipe Melo.
Luisao and Porto's Fernando have emerged as top targets, although it is reported a bid for the latter has also proved unsuccessful.
But Luisao, 27, insists he has not been contacted regarding a potential move to Stadio Artemio Franchi.
"This is news to me and I know nothing of an offer from Viola," he told Record.
"It is a surprise as far as I am concerned and my agent didn't hint at any interest either."
