But Canaries boss has not received an approach for Pattison

Norwich boss Bryan Gunn is interested in signing Motherwell midfielder Stephen Hughes but has not received an offer from Blackpool for Matty Pattison. Hughes is understood to have had talks with Gunn but is yet to sign a deal at Carrow Road. Hearts have been linked with the 26-year-old while former Motherwell boss Mark McGhee is keen to take him to Aberdeen. Gunn told the Evening News: "Stephen's a player we have enquired about. He's out of contract, he's a quality player.

No surprise

"But I'm not surprised he's got a number of clubs after his signature." Meanwhile, Gunn claims he has not been approached by Blackpool regarding midfielder Pattison. Skysports.com understands the Championship side are interested in the South African, who failed to feature in the Canaries' squad for the final few months of last season. The 22-year-old has two years left on his contract but has conceded he would consider a move should he remain out the first-team plans. But Gunn said: "I've heard nothing about that one and it's news to me."
