Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Eboue insists he would welcome the opportunity to extend his contract at Emirates Stadium.
The Ivory Coast international was jeered by his own supporters last season after a dismal display when he came off the bench against Wigan, forcing Arsene Wenger to replace his substitute in the closing stages.
Eboue was linked with a move away from North London over the summer, with Fiorentina mooted as one possible destination, but insists he is keen to stay on beyond the end of his existing deal, which has two years to run.
The 26-year-old has played his part in the club's 100 per cent start to the season and claims the thought of moving on when he was targeted never entered his head.
"I'll wait but if they want me to sign a contract I will sign because I love this club and have to do my best for this team," said Eboue.
"I didn't say I wanted to move when they booed me. I have two more years at Arsenal and feel very good here. I want to improve more and win something with my team.
"The boss has given me some confidence. My friends helped me a lot and now I feel very good when I play and then give more for the fans.
"I've forgotten everything that happened with the fans. I'm very happy with the fans because they sing my name when I play and make me happy when I play. I have to say thank you to the fans.
"We are together now and they are very happy about me. So I am very happy about the partnership with the fans."
Eboue insists there is a tighter unit at Arsenal now Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure have left for Manchester City, although he admits he misses the African duo.
"For me, I'm disappointed because they are my friends and they have gone but that is football," he said. "Now we have Eduardo, Arshavin, Van Persie, Bendtner and Theo Walcott and we will try our best to do it for this place.
"This year is not the same as last year. This year we are more together and have more solidarity in our team. For me, personally, I think it is important to be like this.
"We go out together and do things together. This is important to have because we are young and it's much better to speak together and get close together."
