Stephen Hunt believes Hull earned the right to be a top-flight team - but must do it all over again.

New signing tells Tigers they cannot take anything for granted

Stephen Hunt believes Hull 'earned the right' to be in this season's Premier League - but must now do it all over again. The Tigers won promotion to the top flight for the first time in the club's history in 2008 and survived on the final day of last season. Hunt has been brought in from Reading to boost their squad as they aim to secure a third straight year in the Premier League. Hull are one of the bookmakers' favourites to go down but Hunt is determined to prove them wrong.

Disappointment

Having suffered relegation from the top flight with his former club, the Republic of Ireland winger is eager not to experience such disappointment again. "We belong here," he told the Hull Daily Mail. "We have earned the right to be here and the ones who were here earned the right to get into the division. "You still have to earn the right to stay in the division and if you don't, you will struggle at the bottom. "You have to earn the right again and again to cherish what you've got or you fall behind."
