Franck Ribery has hinted that he may extend his stay at Bayern Munich by signing a new contract extension.
The winger appeared to be on his way out of the club after Real Madrid expressed an interest in the player throughout the summer.
But Bayern held firm and despite falling out with new boss Louis Van Gaal at the start of the season it now seems the Frenchman is toying with the idea of staying beyond 2011 - when his contract is due to run out.
Bayern's signing of Arjen Robben last month and the German club's improved form are thought to have contributed to the 26-year-old's change of heart.
"The club will already have an idea and I also have an idea," he said.
"In football, these things can often happen very fast. It only takes a small meeting and then the decision is made."
Ribery came off the bench on Saturday against Borussia Dortmund and subsequently scored in the 5-1 win, marking his goal by celebrating with Van Gaal.
"At the beginning I did not know the coach," he pointed out.
"He has his ways as a coach, he is very intelligent and has lots of experience. At the beginning, it was very hard.
"The coach has his own philosophy, which I found difficult at first. We needed time in order to get accustomed to each other and we are starting to see the rewards of that patience."
