Rangers star Kris Boyd insists he will not quit Ibrox next summer if he fails to secure a place in Walter Smith's Champions League plans.
Boyd has been continually overlooked for European games since Smith returned to Ibrox in January 2007.
Smith has preferred to employ a lone attacker in most European games and Boyd again found himself on the bench for Wednesday's Champions League draw with Stuttgart.
Boyd, whose contract expires at the end of the season, quit playing for Scotland because of a lack of opportunities under George Burley.
But asked if he would take similar action at Ibrox should he continue to be frozen out, Boyd said: "No. I want to play at Rangers and whatever happens will happen.
"If I get a chance, I'm sure I'll go and try to do my best."
Boyd concedes he can have no complaints about being left out of the side if Rangers progress to the knockout stage without him.
"If we go through then I can't argue," added Boyd.
"It's up to me to be ready when another chance comes.
"I said that I wanted to be involved this year and hopefully I can. So I look forward to that and hopefully when I do get the chance, I can take it."
Rangers assistant manager Ally McCoist insists Boyd has a big role to play for the team in Europe this season
Asked if Boyd had a place in Smith's European XI, McCoist said: "Of course he has, absolutely. Kris Boyd's got a place in our Rangers team.
"Anybody who scores goals like Kris Boyd can would feature in anybody's plans."
No return
Meanwhile, Boyd has again ruled out a return to the international scene after the Scottish Football Association decided to keep faith with Burley despite missing out on next summer's World Cup finals.
Boyd quit Scotland last October adamant he will not play for Burley again, but he admits he could reconsider his decision if Burley was to lose his job.
"I've said enough; I'm not going back down that road," noted Boyd.
"As I've said, I've made my decision and I'll stick by it."
Boyd added: "I'll wait two years if it is two years. We'll see what happens."
