Everton boss David Moyes ranks Louis Saha amongst the best he's ever worked with having watched his brace against Blackburn.
The Toffees ran out 3-0 winners over Blackburn on Sunday with a goal either side of half-time from the Frenchman plus a tap-in from defender Joseph Yobo.
Saha has struggled with injuries at Goodison Park since his move from Manchester United but looks to have rediscovered his old form with four Premier League goals so far this term.
His form comes as no surprise to Moyes who holds the striker in high regard and was encouraged by his latest performance.
"I think Louis Saha is a terrific player I can see why everybody's talked so highly of him," Moyes told Sky Sports.
"He's certainly up there as one of the best players I've ever worked with. I think today was a good game for him, he got a couple of goals and a good performance."
Saha was not the only player who stood out in a fine Everton performance as midfielder Steven Pienaar was instrumental in the home side's dominance of the game, and Moyes was quick to praise his diversity.
"I thought he (Pienaar) played very well today and he is now beginning to do things which can make a difference for us.
"He's a very good footballer and can play in two or three positions and we'll try and use that between now and the end of the season."
The win lifts Everton out of the relegation zone as they picked up their second win of the league campaign after a turbulent start which saw them sink to defeats to Arsenal, Burnley and Fulham.
However, after a 4-0 win over AEK Athens in the Europa League in midweek, Everton look to be returning to form and Moyes was satisfied with the Blackburn display.
"I enjoyed the result and I enjoyed the performance. At certain times we were very very good," he said.
"I have to say though that Blackburn made it difficult, especially in the first-half with their balls into the box and with the size they've got they're very good at it.
"But fortunately today we were able to defend it and go on to win the game.
"I thought we had one or two other opportunities in the first-half which we didn't take so we might have gone in at half-time maybe with two goals. But in the second half we got the goals that mattered."
