Roberto Martinez will not be taking any action against Paul Scharner after he reacted angrily to being substituted.
Scharner has had an uneasy relationship with Martinez ever since the Spaniard took over from former boss Steve Bruce in the summer.
The Austrian was rumoured to be on his way out of the DW Stadium in June after declaring that he wanted to play European football before kicking up a fuss earlier in the season after being deployed as a centre-back.
The midfielder showed his frustration once more against Hull City at the weekend when he highlighted his dismay at being withdrawn for Jordi Gomez in the 66th minute.
"He's a winner, I understand that," Martinez told the Daily Mirror.
"He lost his man for the set-piece for Hull's first and wanted to put things right.
"That was the frustrating thing for him and I like my players to be hurting when we lose, to take responsibility."
