Coventry striker Leon Best is keen to reopen talks over a new deal at the Ricoh Arena having returned from a short spell on the sidelines.
The Republic of Ireland international's current contract is due to expire at the end of the season and he is keen to extend his stay with Chris Coleman's side.
But discussions between Best's representatives and the Sky Blues have, so far, failed reach an agreement and the forward is keen for the current deadlock to be broken.
"It's at a standstill at the minute," said Best, who is now back in action following a knee injury.
"Obviously with my injury it was just a case of getting me fit again but I'm going to be talking to my agent, the gaffer and the chairman and we can get things on the move again now I'm back playing.
"I'm definitely keen to stay here long-term, I'm happy. I'm not too far from home and I'm enjoying playing here so there's no reason (why I wouldn't be)."
There has been plenty of speculation of late linking Best with a move away from the Ricoh Arena and asked whether it has been unsettling, he replied: "No, not really.
"I think that's just a lot of talk. I haven't heard anything and I'm just playing and discussing a contract at the minute."
