Jay Bothroyd says he is happy to stay at Cardiff City after being linked with a move to Premier League side Aston Villa.
Reports have claimed that Villa boss Martin O'Neill has been weighing up a potential swoop for Bothroyd, who joined Cardiff in 2008 from Wolves.
He has scored three goals in the Championship as the Bluebirds sit second in the table in their push for a place in the Premier League.
And Bothroyd admits that, while he is flattered to be linked with Villa, he wants to be playing in the top flight with Cardiff.
"I'm very flattered to be linked with someone like Aston Villa, but I'm happy at Cardiff," Bothroyd told Wales Online.
"If you're doing well any player is going to have other teams looking at them. I definitely think there are players who can play at the Premiership at this club, including myself, but we are where we are for a reason.
"It's never been about my ability, perhaps it's been about my attitude. I think I've changed as a person now.
"I want to play at the highest level as soon as possible. At the moment I want to be at Cardiff."
