Luke Young reveals that the death of his brother earlier in the season made him lose his appetite for football.
Although injured at the time, Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill gave the defender time off when his 17-year-old brother died while on holiday in August.
The 30-year-old returned to first-team action earlier this month after a number of set-backs with a thigh problem, but the former Tottenham youngster admits that concentrating on football helped ease the pain.
However, the minute's silence for Remembrance Day before Villa's 5-1 win over Bolton at the weekend brought it all back.
"It all came back to me on Saturday," he told the Daily Mirror.
"It was quite emotional. In the first few weeks after what happened I didn't really want to do anything. It was really tough.
"Then you come in and train hard and it gives you something else to think about. Now it's a long time gone and I'm ready to focus on my football."
