Arsenal's Nicklas Bendtner has reiterated his aim to be one of the best strikers in the world.

Gunners forward sets sky-high targets for the next five years

Arsenal's Nicklas Bendtner has reiterated his aim to be acknowledged as one of the best strikers in the world within the next five years. The Denmark international was recently named his country's Player of the Year and also won a Goal of the Year award as he met personal targets for 2009. After also helping Denmark to qualify for the 2010 World Cup, Bendtner has now set himself new objectives. Despite the probability that he is sidelined until the New Year with a groin problem, the 21-year-old wants to become the top scorer in the Premier League and World Cup and wants to be recognised as one of the best marksmen on the planet. He said in the Daily Mirror: "I had three aims this year - to get into the Arsenal team, qualify for the World Cup and to be Player of the Year. I have achieved them all. "I want to be top scorer in the Premier League, top scorer at the World Cup and, within five years, I want to be among the best strikers in the world."
