Man City ace Nedum Onuoha insists he is in no rush to decide between playing for England or Nigeria.

City stopper won't decide international future just yet

Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha insists he is in no rush to decide between playing for England or Nigeria. The England Under 21 international could still represent the country of his birth as he is yet to win a full international cap. Nigeria are keen for Onuoha, who is yet to win a call-up from England boss Fabio Capello, to become a Super Eagle. While the City ace admits he would want to play for England, he concedes he finds it hard suppressing his feelings for Nigeria. However, the 22-year-old, who turns 23 on Thursday, admits the politics involved in playing for Nigeria is also a factor.

Tough call

"It is a tough call," he said. "I would love to play for England. But I also get a certain feeling when I see Nigeria play. "I can imagine myself really enjoying it and wanting to be part of it. "But it is not that simple. If you play for England that is fine. "However, if I choose to play for Nigeria there would be a lot of politics involved and a lot of administrative issues. "It is not the best time to make such a big decision, so for now I am not making one."
