Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp does not expect injured goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini to play again this season.
The veteran shot-stopper fractured his wrists and injured his pelvis earlier this month in a horror motorbike accident, leaving him requiring surgery.
It had been suggested that the Italian's career might be at an end, however, Redknapp is of the firm belief that the former Chelsea ace will return to full fitness.
However, with a long recovery schedule ahead of him Redknapp doubts whether Cudicini will be available for Spurs between now and next summer.
Spurs have been linked with numerous keepers as a stop-gap during Cudicini's absence, although Redknapp insists none of the rumours floating around are true.

"He faces a long, hard road back from this but I think he is going to play again and he is convinced of it," Redknapp told
The Sun.
"He will be on crutches for about 12 weeks. I can't imagine he'll play again this season and most of his early rehab work will have to be done at home.
"Carlo was in good spirits for someone who has been through a trauma like this. But he is a strong character and a fantastic professional.
"We have a few keepers on our books. But I am not sure what we will do at present. There has been speculation linking us with several keepers but they are pretty much no-goers."
