Brazilian midfielder Hernanes may not leave Sao Paulo despite interest from European clubs.

Sao Paulo midfielder will only move to big club

Brazilian midfielder Hernanes may not leave Sao Paulo despite interest from European clubs. The 24-year-old has attracted interest from a number of big name sides, but the Sao Paulo academy product may decide to remain in South America. Agent Augusto Frederico Pena admits Hernanes is more than happy in Brazil, and that he would only leave to join a top club. "Sao Paulo is one of the biggest clubs in the world so bringing him away is difficult," he told calciomercato.it. "The price is very high and he has just 24 years, the situation is rather complicated. "I don't see actually great possibilities for clubs such as Chelsea, AC Milan, Real Madrid or similar. "The player has interests in Russia, Ukraine and Turkey, but to leave Sao Paulo he wants a top club." Pena also hinted there was no progress on 17-year-old striker Neymar, who plays for Santos, comparing him to AC Milan star Alexandre Pato. "On Neymar I have not heard anything, but we can not even move until he turns 18," he added. "I think next summer he will leave Brazil. He is a special player, similar to Pato - he has an unusual talent, there's no doubt about this."
