Sheffield Wednesday have bolstered their attacking options with the capture of Warren Feeney on loan from Cardiff.
The Northern Ireland international will remain with the Owls until 28th December.
He has been allowed to leave Cardiff after making just two substitute appearances for the Bluebirds this season.
Feeney has made no secret of his desire to secure regular first-team football, and Wednesday boss Brian Laws is only too happy to offer it to him.
"Cardiff City have plenty of attacking options, having scored 33 goals in the Championship already this season, so it has been difficult for Warren to force his way into the team regularly," Laws told the club's official website.
"I am really pleased Dave Jones has allowed Warren to join us on loan because he is an attack-minded player with a lot to offer in the final third and he will give us a boost going into the festive fixtures.
"We have been creating plenty of opportunities in recent matches but we need to convert those into goals and hopefully Warren can bring something extra to the team in that respect.
"I have been busy trying to secure new additions to the squad this week and I expect that we will have another loan signing in before the deadline later today (Thursday)."
Feeney could be handed his debut for the Owls in Saturday's meeting with high-flying West Brom, subject to international clearance being received in time.
