Foxes striker joins Rams on a one-month loan deal
Derby County have completed the signing of DJ Campbell from Leicester on an initial month-long loan.
Rams manager Nigel Clough admitted he was keen on the striker on Wednesday and spoke of his desire to thrash out a deal.
With the loan deadline closing on Thursday evening, Derby have left it late but Campbell should now go straight into the line-up to face Reading at Pride Park on Saturday.
The 28-year-old has only featured three times this season for the Foxes although he did shine on loan at Blackpool last term, scoring nine goals in 20 Championship games.
"I had a chat with DJ and decided, with the transfer window coming to a close, that a month's loan would be good for him to get some games in," Foxes manager Nigel Pearson told the club's official website.
