Burnley striker Robbie Blake says he has not discussed a new deal at Turf Moor, despite being free to talk to other clubs in a few weeks.
Blake's current contract expires in the summer but the 33-year-old is hoping to impress manager Owen Coyle and extend his stay at the Premier League outfit.
"I'm up at the end of the season and hopefully something can get sorted out soon. I have not really had talks so far, nothing has been said," Blake confirmed.
"But, fingers crossed, I can impress enough to get a new deal.
"I am just delighted to be playing in a good side and getting the licence to play. The gaffer has given me the chance to go and express myself. Hopefully I can do that for a few more years.
"I don't want this to stop. I want to keep coming up against the best players in the world on a weekly basis."
Blake grabbed attention with his stunning winner against Manchester United in August but he has only scored once since then.
"It's not playing on my mind," he continued. "I've never been an out-and-out goalscorer.
"I get just as much enjoyment setting goals up as I do scoring. If I get a chance I'm fairly confident I'll take it."
