Rochdale have extended the loan deal of goalkeeper Tom Heaton and are still hoping to keep hold of Chris O'Grady.
Heaton has made nine appearances for Dale since joining from Manchester United last month and will now stay at Spotland until 23rd January.
He is enjoying his spell with the League Two leaders and has been impressed with the quality of coaching at Keith Hill's side.
"I'm delighted to be staying at Spotland, I am loving my time here," Heaton told the club's official website.
"To be honest I've been blown away by the standards in place at the club. The level of coaching is as good as I've seen at any club and better in some cases."
Meanwhile, Dale's assistant manager Dave Flitcroft confirmed the club are still trying to agree a deal with Oldham Athletic to hang on to O'Grady.
The striker has scored 12 goals in 21 League Two appearances while on loan, but Oldham have previously insisted that deal will not be extended.
Flitcroft said: "Where would we find a striker to replace Chris O'Grady, I just don't know.
"We search every day for players who could make the club better, but he is at the very pinnacle of his form.
"The club is working hard to bring him in from Oldham and we're just praying that a deal is done."
