West Brom have rewarded youngster Chris Wood with a three-and-a-half-year deal after he impressed in the first half of the season.
The New Zealand international only penned a two-year contract last May, but after making 15 Championship appearances this season he has been rewarded again.
The Baggies promised the 18-year-old striker he would be handed new terms if he is maintained his excellent progression and have kept to their word, much to Wood's delight.
Wood believes the new long-term deal offers him a great deal of security and now he is as determined as ever to help Roberto Di Matteo's men progress on the pitch.
"My new contract is a very nice Christmas bonus!" the Auckland-born striker told the club's official website.
"I'm really happy to have been given a new contract.
"The club said they would reward me if I performed and they have kept their word.
"The length of the contract gives me real stability at the club.
"It also makes me want to work even harder to succeed here and help the club progress."
