Rangers have appealed against the red card that could rule Kenny Miller out of Sunday's Old Firm derby with Celtic.
Miller was sent off in Wednesday night's 7-1 thumping of Dundee United for kicking out at Darren Dods after the pair tangled on the floor.
Rangers are adamant video replays prove Miller was innocent and have asked referee Willie Collum to look at the incident again.
If the official decides it did not warrant a red card, the matter will be referred to the Scottish Football Association's review panel, who will have the final say.
Meanwhile, Lee McCulloch is facing a ban after picking up his sixth booking of the season against Dundee United.
It means the midfielder will be suspended for the trip to Hamilton on 16th January.
