Accrington Stanley's in-form striker Michael Symes insists he is in no rush to sign extended terms with the League Two side.
The former Shrewsbury marksman has impressed for Stanley this season after bagging eight league goals from just 18 starts.
Symes, who has won the PFA Fans' Player of the Month award for December, has been linked with a move to Championship side Derby.
However, the 26-year-old insists the talk is just speculation and that he is going to wait for now before putting pen-to-paper with Stanley.
"I'm happy to sign, but I'm just going to wait until the end of January and see what happens," Symes, whose contract expires in the summer, told skysports.com.
"I've aware of the interest, although it's just speculation. I'm just going to keep my options open for now before deciding."
