Queens Park Rangers midfielder Mikele Leigertwood has confirmed he is ready to sign a new contract at Loftus Road.
Skysports.com revealed last month that Leigertwood had agreed a new three-year deal, with his current contract due to expire at the end of the season.
Leigertwood admits that, despite the recent upheaval at the Championship club, he wants to pledge his long-term future to QPR.
"There have been a few ups and downs with two new managers in 2009 and I got swine flu in October, but I want to stay and put down roots," said Leigertwood in The Sun.
The 27-year-old joined QPR from Sheffield United in 2007 and he has scored 11 goals in 113 appearances for the club.
His situation was being monitored by several clubs, but Leigertwood is now waiting to sign the terms to stay in West London until 2013.
