Striker could be fit to face Clarets

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis says there is an outside chance Tuncay will be fit to face Burnley this weekend. The former Middlesbrough striker limped out of their 3-2 win over Fulham in midweek with a hamstring problem. It had been feared the Turkey international may need a spell in the treatment room, but Pulis has been given an upbeat bulletin on his progress. After a slow start to life at the Britannia Stadium, the 27-year-old has scored twice in his last six league games, including the opener against Fulham.

Good news

"We've had good news on that," reported Pulis on Tuncay. "He's had a scan and it's not as bad as we thought because we felt there might be a tear. "There isn't, so we're pleased and he has an outside chance of being fit."
