Kenny Miller believes Kris Boyd will stay at Rangers despite reports linking him with a move away from Scotland.
Free-scoring Boyd, who is out of contract in the summer, has been linked with a number of Premier League and Championship sides.
Rangers, though, are desperate to retain their star striker and last week tabled a new offer to try and keep him at Ibrox.
Confident his co-partner will stay, Miller admits it would be a massive boost for the table-topping club if they could secure his services.
"We are all confident that Kris will stay," Miller told the Glasgow Times.
"I think he is fantastic to play alongside and he is also a big character in and around the dressing room.
"We'll keep our fingers crossed but I think it would be a massive boost for us if he were to announce that he was staying here."
Miller said he felt a superb bond with Boyd on the pitch which has been reflected in their form this season.
"I always feel that you need good pairings all over the pitch and I think Kris and I have an excellent understanding and it gives the team a bit of balance," he said.
"Both of us have been up there with the goals and long may that continue."
Rangers could be without both players for the trip to Hamilton this weekend.
The club are awaiting news on the extent of Boyd's injury picked up in the Cup tie with the Accies.
Miller will miss out through suspension as Gers attempt to better Sunday's 3-3 draw at New Douglas Park.
"Kris got an injury which we obviously don't want at this time because he has been doing so well for us," said Gers boss Walter Smith.
"He has scored a lot of goals but we have to accept he's injured at the moment and it'll be another 24 hours or so before we know the full extent of his problem."
