Keirrison set to spend the next two seasons in Italy
Fiorentina have revealed that they have agreed to take Barcelona forward Keirrison on a two-season loan deal.
The Serie A outfit have been forced to enter the market for attacking talent as talismanic frontman Adrian Mutu faces a lengthy ban for failing a drugs test.
The Romanian has been suspended from all first-team activities while he waits to learn his fate.
La Viola have already snapped up teenager Haris Seferovic from Grasshoppers but are now set to complete a second signing in a matter of days.
Keirrison joined Barcelona from Palmeiras last summer, but was immediately loaned to Portuguese outfit Benfica.
Options
The 21-year-old Brazilian now looks set to complete a similar switch to Italy, providing he passes a medical on Monday.
"ACF Fiorentina announce they have reached an agreement with Barcelona for the signing on a temporary basis of striker Keirrison de Souza Carneiro for two football seasons," read a statement on the club's
official website.
"The deal will be finalised after he passes his medical which will take place tomorrow."
Fiorentina also have the option to sign Keirrison on a permanent basis should he impress during his time in Serie A.
