Tigers midfielder explains exit decision

Hull City midfielder Peter Halmosi admits he turned down offers from the Championship to rejoin Szombathely Haladas on loan. The 30-year-old returns to his former club in Hungary after falling down the pecking order under Phil Brown at the KC Stadium. Halmosi had only made three appearances for the Tigers this season before his move, and none were in the Premier League. But he is now happy having returned to the club where he spent his early career, in a deal which he says benefits all parties. "I was surprised by the invitation of Haladas but I was very happy and immedately called my family," he told Hali TV. "I said almost week by week how much I'd like to play in Szombathely again. I feel that I'm strong enough to play in England but I had to make this decision. "I had many offers from the Championship, some of them came from the upper part of the table so next year these clubs may play in the Premier League. "I could have joined them only for three months but I didn't want to do it for the good of my family. I didn't want to move within a short period like this and I didn't want to go anywhere without my family. "If I play in my Hungarian club and I'll have more international games - if the national coach relies on me - it's good for Hull as they can sell me with better chances."
