Bayern Munich midfielder Franck Ribery says his future at the club depends on how far they go in the UEFA Champions League.
The Bavarian side welcome Fiorentina to the Allianz Arena for the first leg of a round of 16 knockout clash on Wednesday, before a return date on 9th March.
The outcome could determine the future of the 26-year-old, who has thrown his situation at the German side into doubt after speaking of his desire to win European silverware.
Ribery has developed into one of the world's most sought-after players since his arrival at the Bundesliga club in 2007, with Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid said to be interested in capturing his signature.
The Frenchman remained loyal to Bayern despite the mounting speculation, but has admitted success on the European stage will determine his next career move, if any.
The midfielder has yet to win a European trophy with Bayern, and only has one Bundesliga and one German Cup trophy to show for his three years at the club.
But the former Marseille man - who has 41 France caps to his name - believes his side can make a claim as surprise winners of the 2010 crown, saying Louis van Gaal's men can cause an upset.
Ribery, whose contract runs until 2011, told Sports Bild: "Our result in the Champions League will of course play a part in my decision. For me, footballing potential is the most important thing.
"Seeing how the team is playing, we've got every chance in the Champions League.
"Our squad isn't quite as good as Barcelona or Real but when everyone is on form, the 11 on the pitch are top class."
