Bayern Munich match-winner Miroslav Klose has admitted his surprise that his controversial goal against Fiorentina in the UEFA Champions League was allowed to stand.
Louis van Gaal's side earned a 2-1 first-leg victory in their last-16 tie against the Italians as Klose settled the contest after Arjen Robben's first-half penalty had been cancelled out by Per Kroldrup.
But the match was overshadowed by the decision-making of referee Tom Henning Ovrebo, who caused controversy last season after taking charge of Chelsea's semi-final second leg against Barcelona.
Robben's opener came after Ovrebo had decided to pull play back when Mario Gomez had scored and the Norwegian harshly sent off Fiorentina defender Massimo Gobbi before allowing Klose to grab a late win when he was clearly offside.
Germany international Klose admitted: "I haven't seen the replay, but it felt like I was offside."

Bayern Munich president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge also acknowledged his team's fortune, but insists they would head to Italy for the second leg full of confidence.
He said: "We have won. We can be happy and we can fly with optimism to Florence.
"Yes, it was offside... We were lucky to get such a goal, but it was deserved."
Van Gaal paid tribute to Fiorentina, who had been widely written off before the game, but delivered another impressive performance after winning Group E.
He said: "Tactically, they played very well. We ran too much with the ball and hit too many long balls.
"Fiorentina really had no chances, but still managed to score a goal and that is disappointing."
