Full-back eager to help Bournemouth secure promotion

Bournemouth have extended the loan spell of Norwich City full-back Rhoys Wiggins for another 28 days. Wiggins' initial month-long spell at Dean Court ended after Tuesday's 3-0 win over Barnet and he had feared he would not be able to extend his stint with the League Two club. However, an extension has now been agreed and the 22-year-old is eager to play his part in helping Bournemouth secure promotion at the end of the season. "It was emotional at the end of the game last night because I love playing here and now I can't wait for another month at the club," Wiggins told the club's official website.

Quality

"The reaction at the end meant a lot to me because it's always nice to feel appreciated and I can't thank the supporters enough because they have been brilliant again and I hope I can repay them for that support over the next month. "I want to do all I can now to help Bournemouth and I hope they get promoted this season because if any club deserves that, it's Bournemouth after everything the club has been through and what the side has achieved so far this season. "I think the quality is here and that showed against Barnet and if the side can play like that every week, I can't see why they can't get promoted." Wiggins, who had a spell on loan with the Cherries last season, joined Norwich last summer, but has yet to play a league game for the club.
