Collis injury sees keeper summoned back from Aldershot

Bristol City have recalled goalkeeper Stephen Henderson from his loan spell at Aldershot after Steve Collis picked up a foot injury. Henderson joined the Shots before the close of the January transfer window and has made eight appearances for the League Two club. However, after Collis hurt his foot in training, City boss Gary Johnson has brought Henderson back to Ashton Gate to provide cover for Dean Gerken. "We don't know the full extent of Steve's injury yet, but he's got a badly bruised foot at the very least," Johnson told the club's official website. "We can't take any chances so we've recalled Stephen from Aldershot. He's done very well there and we'd have no issues throwing him into the team. "It's fair to say Aldershot were disappointed to hear the news, but it's something we've had to do." The injury to Collis, and last week's departure of Adriano Basso, is likely to see Henderson on the bench for Tuesday's Championship game at Crystal Palace.
