AC Milan star Ronaldinho hopes to continue his renaissance in form in order to help his side eliminate Manchester United from the UEFA Champions League.
The Brazilian, a former European and World Footballer of the Year while at Barcelona, has been back to close to his best this campaign after hard work in pre-season.
Ronaldinho now hopes he can carry those performances into Milan's trip to Old Trafford on Wednesday when the Italians will attempt to overturn a 3-2 last-16 first-leg deficit.
The 29-year-old said: "To tell you the truth, I've been planning to have a year like this.
"I was working hard and thinking about this in pre-season so I'm very happy to be putting the dream into practice.
"I had a time at Barcelona when we didn't win titles and when you don't win titles it's normal the players get scrutinised, but I'm happy to be back at a great club fighting in two competitions."
He added on the United second leg: "It will be a very difficult match, but nothing is impossible. I think it's going to be a very beautiful match.
"We need a positive result so we'll be playing for the victory. They'll be playing at home with their own style because their coach always makes them play that way and so it has all the ingredients needed to be a great match."
