Bayern Munich have criticised France for their handling of Franck Ribery's ankle injury and are reportedly set to complain to Fifa.
The playmaker has been hitting headlines on a regular basis with regards to his future, but his club's immediate concerns are regarding his fitness.
Bayern blame France for helping to aggravate an ankle injury, claiming Ribery received poor medical treatment by doctors of the national team in the days leading up to the friendly against Spain on 3rd March.
Ribery was called up to meet the Spanish, despite having injured his ankle playing in the Bundesliga, and since then he suffered a fitness setback in Bayern's UEFA Champions League encounter against Fiorentina.
"We never want to find ourselves in a situation like this again," said Bayern president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge on his club's official website.
"The France team has done us no favours at all."
He added: "Before this match he hadn't trained on the Monday or the Tuesday. During those days he was getting treatment (in France) and what's more it wasn't carried out properly.
"Now, it's us who gets to pick up the cost."
