Grayson says defender will miss rest of season

Leeds manager Simon Grayson fears that Patrick Kisnorbo's World Cup dream may have been 'shattered'. The Australia defender was stretchered off in tears in the eighth minute of Leeds' 2-0 home defeat to Millwall on Monday with a suspected ruptured Achilles tendon. Grayson admits he will now be sidelined for the rest of the season and doubts whether he will recover in time to go to South Africa with his country. "Unfortunately for Paddy he suffered a severe Achilles injury, which will rule him out of the rest of the season and possibly the World Cup as well," said Grayson. "It's a shame because he's been outstanding for us all season. "He's been a warrior type, a leader and I'm gutted for the lad because his dream was to play in the World Cup and that looks like it could have been shattered."
