Youngster Mark Cullen also commits to Hull City

Hull City midfielder Tom Cairney has put pen-to-paper on a new three-year contract with the club. The promising 19-year-old has burst onto the scene this season at the KC Stadium and has reportedly caught the eye of a number of Premier League clubs. Skysports.com exclusively revealed earlier this week that a new deal for Cairney was in the pipeline and he has now committed his future to the East Yorkshire outfit. Cairney has made nine appearances for the Tigers this term and scored his first goal in the league against Everton earlier in the month. He said: "This caps a great season from a personal point of view. "At the start of the season I didn't think I'd make the five-appearance mark in the first team." Fellow youth team product Mark Cullen, 17, who played against Wigan in the FA Cup earlier in the campaign, has also signed a new deal until 2012. Chairman Adam Pearson added: "Everybody here believes that Tom and Mark have really bright futures in the game and we're looking forward to seeing them fulfil their potential with Hull City."
